It was a rough game and the weather was a factor as the Lions lost their preseason opener to Provo, 19-8, but there were some bright spots, too, including John Harmon’s tackle for a safety early in the game, and an interception by Dalton Baker that he nearly broke for a TD.

The wet weather hampered quarterback Easton Smith’s passing attack, but on the defensive side, McCoy Cary put pressure on Provo’s quarterback all night.

Preston Little’s 109 yards and a TD, and Connor Atkinson’s 49 yards for two carries were impressive.

The Lion offensive line is small and untested but willing to give a hundred percent.  John Harmon’s defensive statistics are amazing.

The Lions have a formidable opponent in Salem Hills this week, and the game will attract a huge crowd, as their meetings have done in recent seasons.
